The Bureau of Indian Education's (BIE) early childhood education office provides a Family and Child Education (FACE) program that emphasizes kindergarten readiness through collaboration among families, local resources, and schools – which is critical for students’ academic success. The program includes parenting education to support student development from the earliest years, providing developmentally appropriate resources guiding daily family involvement.

Each site implements and resources the three FACE components based on their local community needs. The BIE evaluates each component independently twice a year.
